[Report on pet. of Thos Rice & others] The committee on the petition of Thomas Rice & others that a certain part of the town of China formerly taken from. Winslow may be reannaxed thereto — reported an order of notice - The report accepted in Senate, came down for concurrence — and the House concurred.

[Treasurer of States duty —] [— ditto of County —] The committee of this House to whom was referred the Bill "respecting the payment of monies in the State Treasury & the duties of the Treasurer" — and also the Bill "requiring County Treasurers annually to publish an account of the receipts and expenditures in their respective Counties — reported a new draft embracing the object of both Bills — entitled "an act respecting the payment of monies into the State Treasury and relating to the duties of the Treasurer of the State and of the Treasurer of the several Counties" which new draft was on motion recommitted to the same committee.

[Judges to certify fees — &c] On motion of Mr Clark of Limington, Ordered that the Committee to whom was recommitted the aforesaid bill be instructed to enquire into the expediency of incorporating into the same bill a provision requiring Judges of the several Courts at the close of each session or within thirty days thereafter to certify to the Treasurer of the State the amount of fees accruing to the State from actions entered at said Court — in whose hands the fees are, and whose duty it is to pay them over, and of requiring the Treasurer to prosecute for the same unless paid over within six months after such certificate shall have been filed in his office — read & passed.
