A part of them were sold at auction to pay my claim. Prior to the sale they were picked over twice by Mr. Slater & were in good order and condition. They were said to be the best lot of potatoes brought from Nova Scotia that fall. Mr. Solomon B. Pool had a lot of Nova Scotia potatoes at the same time & he then told me that the Slater potatoes were better than his.
