Circumstances having just transpired which render it probable that a change will be made in the office of Indian Agent for the Penobscot Tribe. I take pleasure in recommending to you Samuel w. Hoskins Esq. as the man best suited to fill that place by a thorough personal acquaintance with the whole tribe, their situation, wants and interests.
