At a General Court Martial of which Major Throop[?] is President was tried John George and Jeremiah Newbury Both of the 4th Regiment For Desertion & Justice Wood of the 6th Regiment for Repeated Desertion and found Severally Guilty of the Crimes alledged [alleged] and Sentenced George & Newbury each to Receive One Hundred Lashes on their naked Backs  and further Jeremiah Newbury to make up the Term of Time for which he Engaged
