Mr. Scamman from the Committee on the subject of Lotteries on several orders instructing that Committee to inquire into the expediency of granting several Lotteries - for improving the navigation of Sebasticook River - for improving the navigation of Saco and Mousam Rivers - for clearing obstructions in Androscoggin River - for the promotion of primary schools in this State, reported that Legislation on each of said propositions is inexpedient. Read and accepted. Sent down for concurrence. Came up concurred.

Agreeably to notice Mr. Southwick moved a reconsideration of the vote Saturday whereby the Senate concurred with the House in indefinitely postponing the Bill establishing a Lottery for improving the navigation of the Kennebec River in a new draft entitled "An Act to establish certain Lotteries for the purposes therein mentioned" and the Senate reconsidered the same and committed the Bill to Messrs Stebbins, Green and Southwick,
