[Committee on exempting minors from taxes]

Chandler be a committee with such as the Senate may join to take into consideration the expediency of passing an act exempting minors from paying a poll tax, with leave to report by Bill or otherwise, came up for concurrence, was read and concurred, and Messrs McDonald and Anderson were joined.-

Petition of Jason Thurston and als of New Castle to prevent insults and indignities to the infirm of body or mind, Petition of Jedediah Herrick to be refunded $25. paid by him on accepting the Office of Sheriff of Penobscot County, and Petition of Harriet Castason for an allowance out of the Estate of Elias Bates, committed in the House to the committee on New Trials, came up for concurrence, and were read and concurred.-
