228 [1823 February 4] Court to lay out or alter public highways in certain cases, was read a second time and passed to be engrossed as in a new draft: sent down for concurrence. [Bills enacted] The Committee on engrossed Bills reported the following to be truly copied, viz Bill respecting bonds, deeds, contracts and agreements. Bill to incorporate the Northern Harmonic Society. Bill additional to an Act defining the general powers and duties of Manufacturing Companies, and Bill establishing a ministerial and school fund in Green, and they were severally passed to be enacted. Also [Resolves passed] Resolve providing for the procurement of certain documents. Resolve for the relief of John Brown and Samuel Bennett, Resolve allowing compensation to Daniel Rose and others for certain services Resolve authorizing release of certain land to John Perham, and Resolve for purchasing Greenleaf's Reports, and they were severally passed. Resolve respecting claims assigned to this State by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, which had been passed to be engrossed and sent down for concurrence, came up concurred.
