Mr. Wheeler from the committee on an order to consider what alteration, if any, is necessary in the Laws regulating appeals, reported that they be discharged from any further consideration of the subject : read, accepted and sent down for concurrence : concurred.-

Mr. Witham from the committee, on an order upon that subject reported a Bill additional to an act directing the manner in which notices upon petitions to be presented to the Legislature, may be given which was read once, and committed, and tomorrow at 10 oclock assigned for a 2d reading.-

Mr. Wilkins from the committee on the Report of the Land Commissioners, reported a Bill to promote the sale and settlement of public lands; which was read once and committed, and tomorrow at 10 oclock assigned for a 2d reading.- And on motion of Mr. McCobb, Ordered that 200 copies be printed for the use of the Legislature.-
