To the Governor of the State of Main & the Honorable Council
The undersigned Inhabitants of the County of Kennebec and members of the Legislature ask leave humbly to represent that whenever it becomes necessary to organize the Judiciary & to appoint a clerk of the court for said county, we believe that the Public good would be served and the people of the County gratified by the appointment of Joseph Chandler Esq to the said office of clerk, which office he once held to the satisfaction of the County. We therefore pray that he may be appointed & in duty [illegible] will every pray
