Met according to adjournment.

Ordered that Messrs Ames of Bath, Adams of Portland & Evans of Gardiner with such as the Senate may join, be a committee to ascertain, if any further agreement be necessary with the proper authority. That the use & occupation of the Buildings, whereby the State is at present accommodated, may be extended, of necessary, to the meeting of the Legislature at Hallowell in eighteen hundred & twenty eight with leave to report by Resolve or otherwise - read & passed, Sent up for concurrence.

Resolve for the payment of Accounts against the State, was read a second time & passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate.

Ordered that the committee on the Pay Roll be directed to add fifty cents per day in addition to his pay as member to the pay of the Chairmen of the committee on accounts on the part of this House during the present session - read & passed.

Resolve respecting Clerk hire in the office of the Secretary of State laid on the table by Mr Carpenter of Howland, was read twice & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.

The committee on engrossed Bills reported as duly engrossed Bill to change the name of New Charleston - - revoking the Charter of the Passamaquoddy Bank -to change the name of the second territorial Parish in North Yarmouth which were severally passed to be enacted. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill an additional act respecting Highways, reported as a new draft to all other Bills before the House upon this subject, was read a 1st & 2nd time & this afternoon at 2 oclock assigned for a
