An order came from the Senate for concurrence directing the Secretary of State to notify Daniel Wood, William Chadwick, Jonathan Thayer, Abraham Morrill, Daniel Merrill, Daniel Wilkins & Elias Stowell Esquires that they have been duly elected by both branches of the Legislature Counsellors to advise the Governor in the Executive part of the Government the current political year, & request their immediate attendance - and the House concurred.

The House took up the consideration of the report of the committee to contract with a Doorkeeper, Page &c - and after some discussion accepted the same, and Thomas Baker was accordingly designated two perform those duties.

And the House adjourned until 3 o'clock this afternoon.

Message from the Senate by Mr Smith their Secretary, Mr Speaker The Senate propose a convention of both Houses forthwith in the Representatives Chamber for the purpose of qualifying such Counsellors elect as are present & have signified their acceptance - The House concurred and the Clerk was requested to acquaint the Senate therewith.

Ordered, that Messrs Carpenter of Sebec & Chase of Livermore be added on the part of the House to the joint standing Committee on the Militia & Military affairs - and the Clerk was requested to acquaint the Senate therewith.
