Bill respecting the fisheries in the Counties of Lincoln & Cumberland was read 1st & 2d time & tomorrow at 10 oclock assigned for a 3d Reading.

Petition of Samuel Emery & als for a legal provision against persons living out of the State from taking Lobsters in the Rivers, Bays & shoals in York County, was read & referred to Messrs Spring of Saco, Morrill of Wells & Spring of Biddeford with such as the Senate may join.

Report on petition of Selectmen of [blank] referring subject indefinitely came from the Senate accepted for concurrence and the House concurred.

Petition of Moses Sleeper & als of Vassalboro to be incorporated by the name of the East Pond Dam Company, referred in Senate to the committee on Turnpikes, Bridges & Canals, came down for concurrence and the House concurred.

Ordered that the Senate be requested to send to this House the petition of Anthony Merchant & als now on the last years files of that body - read & passed.

The House took up the consideration of the subject of the Report of the Committee on the deed from Joshua Gage & als &c &c and after some discussion the papers were ordered to lie upon the table & thereupon on motion the following order was passed" Ordered that the following questions be proposed to the Justices of the Supreme Judicial Court "Is the deed from Joshua Gage & als to the State of Maine now submitted to you, a deed upon condition, either express or implied?" and would a Court of Equity should said
