Order of the House of Representatives appointing Messrs Russell, Leach and Hubbard with such as the Senate may join to inquire into the expediency of so altering the existing Law requiring the superintending School committee in each town and plantation to visit the schools of each District at the commencement and close thereof, as to dispense with their visiting said schools unless directed by the town or plantation to which they belong at the annual meeting after the choice of town or plantation officers with leave to report by bill or otherwise came up for concurrence and the Senate nonconcurred and referred the same to the committee on Literature &c .
