Ballot of the two Houses of the Legislature in Convention, Counsellors for the State of Maine to advise the Governor in the Executive part of government for the current political year and to request their immediate attendance - & the House concurred.

An order came from the Senate for concurrence directing the Secretary of the Senate to notify Amos Nichols Esqr that he has been duly elected Secretary of State by both branches of the Legislature for the current political year – and the House concurred.

Bill to incorporate the General Hospital of Maine taken from the last years files of the Senate, came from the Senate referred to Messrs Greene & Churchill with such as the House may join – and the House concurred and Messrs Adams of Portland, Alden of Brunswick & Bridgham of Leeds were joined.

Ordered that Messrs Bent of Bangor, Deane of Ellsworth and McIntosh of Maxfield be a committee to enquire what alteration is necessary to the act authorizing the town of Bangor to purchase the Bridge over the Kenduskeag river in said town – read and passed.

Ordered that the House stand adjourned until three o'clock this afternoon.

Mr Pond of Bucksport rose in his seat & informed the House that having been notified by the Secretary of State of his election to fill the vacancy in the County of Hancock occasioned at the Senate Board by the resignation of Mark Sheppard and having signified his acceptance, he now resigned his seat as a member of this house – and he vacated his seat accordingly – whereupon on motion of Mr Deane it was
