[Bill to incorporate Fraternal Lodge] Mr. Witham from the committee on Parishes on the petition of Fraternal Lodge reported Bill to incorporate the Master Wardens and Brethren of Fraternal Lodge and the same was once and and tomorrow 10 assigned for a 2nd Reads.

[Report Committee not discharged] Report of the Committee on the state Prison and criminal code asking to be discharged from the further consideration of the memorial of the Trustees of the Mariner's Church accepted and sent down for concurrence came up nonconcurred and the Senate recede from their former vote and concur wit the House in refusing to discharge the Committee.

[Bill passed to be engrossed] Bill making Stockholders competent witnesses in certain cases, was read a second time and passed to be engrossed as amended by changing the title to "An Act regulating evidence in certain codes. Sent down for concurrence.

[Order concerning sale of land for taxes] On motion by Mr Gardner Ordered that the Committee on the Judiciary be instructed to inquire into the expediency of so amending the Law regulating the assessment and collection of taxes that real estate of resident proprietors may be sold by collecters within the towns and plantations for the payment of taxes legally assessed therein. Sent down for concurrence.

[Bill recommitted] Bill to authorize the town of Falmouth to erect a toll bridge over the Presumpscot River came up recommitted to the Committee on Turnpikes, Bridges and Canals for concurrence and the Senate concurred.
