Dear Sir:
I have need a communication from Col. Roberts of the 2nd Maine Regt. M.V. in which he informs me that his officers have unanimously elected me as chaplain to that Regiment, and that he had that day (Nov. 10.) sent a communication to you requesting you to issue a commission to me accordingly. Have you received
