Petition of John Whitney & al for an incorporation of the Maine Christian School, was read & referred to the committee on the incorporation of Parishes &c. in concurrence with the Senate.

Petition of Jonathan Strout & als, came again from the Senate referred to the committee on Turnpikes &c for concurrence - and the House receded from their former votes, and concurred with the Senate in their reference.

Petition of the inhabitants of the new town incorporated by the name of Adams that the name of said town may be changed to that of Crawford, was read & referred to the committee on the incorporation of Towns. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill - to regulate the taking of Alewives in Winslows stream & Leach Stream in the town of Penobscot, was read 1st & 2d time & tomorrow at ten oclock assigned for a third reading.

The House resumed the consideration of the Report on the petition of Samuel Little & als granting leave to withdraw and refused to adopt the amendment moved by Mr Pond of Bucksport yesterday, and then accepted the report of the committee in concurrence with the Senate
