[Statement of lands granted]

A statement of the quantity of public lands granted to the several towns in this State,” committed in the House to the Committee on State Lands, came up for concurrence, and was read and concurred.

[Committee on the powers of surveyors &c of Highways]

Order of the House that Messrs. Williams, Carpenter and Robbins, with such as the Senate may join, be a committee to consider what provision, if any, is necessary to restrain the powers vested in surveyors of highways and in selectmen of towns, as to the expenditure of money beyond the sum voted by the town for repair of the Highways, with leave to report by Bill or otherwise,” came up for concurrence: Read and concurred, and Messrs.
