73 Bill to incorporate the Trustees of a fund for the support of the ministry and schools in the town of Orland, " to incorporate the Trustees of the Charity fund of Mt. Report on order of January 14th, respecting the expediency of altering the third section of the Act respecting highways so that the selectmen and Assessors shall be notified previous to complaints, that Legislation is inexpedient came up referred to a special Committee to be joined, and the Senate adhere to their vote accepting said Report. Sent down. concurred [Report on order of Jan 14th that legislation on that subject is unnecessary]

On motion by Mr. Megquier Ordered that the Committee on the Judiciary be directed to inquire into the facts whether there are any cases in which Executors and Administrators ought to be by Law required to give bonds to the Judge of Probate where now they are not so required; also whether any further provisions are necessary additional to those already provided by Law for the appointment of Guardians, idlers and drunkards and whether any further provision ought to be made by Law respecting the condition of the bond required to be given by Guardians; and to inquire into the expediency of authorizing by Law Judges of Probate to appoint an Attorney adverse to Guardians on the settlement of their accounts, and to inquire what further provisions are necessary to be made for the benefit of miners, and also to inquire into the expediency of repealing so much of the Probate Law as requires the Judge of Probate [Order expediency of Law requiring Executors & Administrators to give bonds in certain cases - and on other subjects]
