Met according to adjournment.

Mr Burr has leave of absence after today during the remainder of the session.

Ordered that the committee on the Judiciary be instructed to inquire into the expediency of so far repealing an act authorizing Courts to liberate or dispose of poor convicts in service passed March 17 1821 also an additional act authorizing Courts to liberate or dispose of poor convicts in service passed February 2nd 1822, as authorizes the several Sheriffs to dispose of them with leave & read & passed. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill - respecting Toll Bridges, was read 1st & 2nd time & tomorrow at 10 oclock assigned for a 3rd reading.

The committee appointed to ascertain what business yet remains on which it is necessary for the Legislature to act upon the present session, and when a recess thereof may be had, made a report which same from the Senate amended so as to fix upon Saturday the seventeenth inst. as the time when the Legislature may have a recess, for concurrence - and the House concurred.

Resolve in favor of the town of Calais, came from the Senate amended as on sheet annexed marked A for concurrence, & the House so far receded from their former votes as to concur the Senate in passing the Resolve to be engrossed as thus amended.

Report on the Resolve in favor of Bowdoin College, that it is inexpedient to take any further order upon that subject, came from the Senate accepted for concurrence - and the House concurred.
