Upon returning to the Regiment & carefully considering its condition & wants, I deem it for the interest of the Regt. to recommend the following appointments & promotions
William E. Donnell of Portland to be 1st Lieut. & Adjutant, vice Brown promoted.
1st Lieut. Rufus B. Plumer[?] of co. "C" to be Capt. of co. "C" vice Billings died of wounds received in battle.
1st Lieut. Thomas D. Chamberlain of co. "G" to be Capt. of co. "G," vice Spear promoted.
2d Lieut. James H. Stanwood of "C" to be 1st Lieut. of "C" vice Plumer[?] promoted.
