Resolve in favor of the Maine Wesleyan Seminary] Mr. Cushman from the Committee on Literature and Literary Institutions on the petition of the Trustees of the Maine Wesleyan Seminary, reported Resolve for the benefit of the Maine Weslyan Seminary was read once and tomorrow 11 o'clock assigned for a second reading.
[Message from the Governor with report of the Com. concerning the Statutes relative to the State prison] The Secretary of State came in and laid on the table a written message from the Governor accompanied by the report of the Committee appointed to consider the Statutes concerning the State Prison &c which were read and referred to the Committee on the Judiciary - and 500 copies ordered to be printed. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.
