Ordered, that the Rules and Orders adopted by the House the last year be the Rules and Orders of this House until otherwise ordered, and that Messrs Lowell of East Machias, Magoun of Bath, and McCrate of Nobleborough be a Committee to Report Rules and Orders for the Government of the House.

Ordered that the Clergymen of the Towns of the Torons of Augusta and Hallowell be requested to act as Chaplains of the House during the present session in rotation according to seniority - and Messrs Dumont - of Hallowell, Hobbs of Waterborough, and Sweet of Prospect were appointed a Committee to Communicate the foregoing request to the Clergymen aforesaid and our motion, the House reconsidered the vote whereby they passed the following orders and directed the same to be laid on the table.
