Resolve laying a tax on the several counties in this State, was read once and Monday next at eleven o'clock assigned for a second reading, and the same was recommitted to Messrs. Kingsbury, Dole and Megquier.

The petition of the assessors of the town of Cumberland, for deduction from State valuation, was read and referred to the Joint Standing Committee on the State valuation in concurrence.
