On motion of Mr. Fessenden Ordered, that the Inspector General of Beef and Pork be directed forthwith to return into the Office of the Secretary of State in order that the same may be laid before this House, an account, under affirmation of all fees received by him in virtue of his said office, since his appointment thereto, distinguishing, those fees received by himself personally and those received from his deputies and also a detailed statement of the sums paid by him for cutting weighing and packing and for coopering during the time aforesaid.

On motion of Mr Clark of Hallowell Ordered, that the Joint Standing Committee on the Judiciary be instructed to consider the subject of further regulating by law appeals in civil actions before Justices of the Peace - sent up for concurrence.
On motion of Mr Parsons Ordered, that the Committee on the Judiciary be instructed to enquire into the expediency of giving the same powers to towns having a less number than eight hundred inhabitants, that towns having a greater number now have to raise any sum of money for making and repairing highways - sent up for concurrence.
