The select committee to whom was referred "An Act additional to an act to establish the Bucksport and Prospect Ferry Company" reported that in their opinion the same ought to pass, and said Bill was read a second time and passed to be engrossed in concurrence.

"An Act respecting Colleges" came up from the House indefinitely postponed. The Senate reconsider their vote passing said Bill to be engrossed. Mr. Kingsbury then moved to amend said Bill by striking out the first section and inserting in lieu thereof a new section. And the question of so amending being ordered to be taken by Yeas and Nays was decided in the affirmative as follows, to wit:
