Ordered that the Committee on State Lands be instructed to enquire into the expediency of so far altering or comending the Act passed March 28 1831 entitled "An additional Act to promote the sale and settlement of public Lands" as to render the minimum price of land which shall be sold to such persons, as will engage to settle and improve the same from fifty cents, to twenty five cents per acre, and also so far as to authorize the Land Agent to sell any of the Public Lands to such persons on a credit of any length of time not exceeding six years, the purchase giving the security for payment of the purchase money, which is provided we said Act and paying interest thereon annually sent up for concurrence.
