Resolve to admit James T. Leavitt to practice law, Resolve to admit Allen Hains to practice law were severally taken up and passed to be engrossed and amended. Sent down for concurrence.
Mr. Megquier from the committee on the Judiciary to which was recommitted Bill appropriating the income of certain Ministerial funds for the support of primary schools reported the same as taken into a new draft, which was adopted and passed to be engrossed. Sent down for concurrence.
On motion of Mr. Megquier, Resolve in favour of Daniel J. Perley with accompanying documents was taken from the files of the Senate and referred to the committee on Claims. Sent down for concurrence.
The petition of Joseph Southwick in relation to a demand in the Land Office against him, was read and referred to the committee on State Lands in concurrence.
A message was received from the House informing the Senate that the House adhere to their vote referring to the next Legislature the Resolve providing for the erection of a monument over the remains of Enoch Lincoln. The Senate adhere to their vote finally passing said Resolve and propose a conference; and appoint as conferees on their part Messrs. Keith, Emerson and Thayer. Sent down for concurrence.
