260 Order from the House instructing the committee on the Judiciary to inquire into the expediency of so far altering the law that persons who may hereafter claims seats in said House and shall not be able to sustain their claim shall receive for their travel and attendance pay from the towns which illegally return them as members, instead of being paid as has been the custom, read and passed, in concurrence.

A message was received from the House of Representatives informing the Senate that the House had reconsidered their vote passing to be engrossed Bill for preserving the Mattanawcook road, amended said Bill and ordered the same to be re-engrossed and requesting the concurrence of the Senate. Whereupon, the Senate reconsider their vote passing said Bill to be engrossed, adopt the amendment proposed by the House and order the same to be re-engrossed, in concurrence.
