Ordered, That the Committee on Literary Institutions be instructed to inquire into the expediency of requiring of all Literary Institutions applying for aid from the State, who have previously received aid from the same, a correct statement of their funds - the manner in which previous donations have been expended or vested, also the number of the instructors - the price of tuition and the number of student who may have received instruction at such institution the year proceeding such application and report by Resolve or otherwise - sent up for concurrence -

On motion of Mr Dummer. Ordered That the Committee on Turnpikes, Bridges and Canals be instructed to to [sic] enquire into the proceedings of the Kennebec Boom Corporation, whether said Corporation is not at this time exercising important powers injurious to the public and not granted by the act of Incorporation, and whether the Legislature under the authority of the seventh section of said Acts, should not immediately restrain or annul the the powers and privileges granted them by said Act - sent up for concurrence -
