A Message was received from the Senate proposing a convention of the two Houses, at ten o'clock this forenoon in the Representatives Chamber for the purpose of filling the vacancy in the Senate occasioned by the death of the Hon Benjamin Pike a Senator from the County of York and informing the House that Horace Porter and John A. Morrill are the Constitutional Candidates to fill that vacancy. requesting the concurrence of the House, and the House concurred - and the Clerk by Message communicated the same.
