Order from the House, appointing Messrs Swett of Prospect, True of Montville Pierce of Gorham and Jenkins of Elliot, a Committee with such as the Senate may join, to take into consideration the propriety of extending the jurisdiction of certain Justices of the Peace within the several towns and plantations in this State, said Justice to be by law designate, before whom may be tried cause wherein the sums in dispute do not exceed fifty dollars, with leave to report by bill or otherwise. Read and passed in concurrence and Messrs. Randall Webb and Burnham were joined.
