Remonstrance of Lovi Hamblen and others against the petition of James Greely and others for a Boom on the Penobscot River, read and referred to the Committee on Turnpikes, Bridges, & Canals, in concurrence.

Order from the House of Representatives, directing the Committee on the Judiciary to inquire into the expediency of this State's proposing to the United States to assume the support of the United States Military Road, from and after the first day of January next, on condition that the United States shall put the same in a State of repair the present season, read and passed in concurrence.

The Committee on Division of towns reported notice to the next legislature on petition of Joseph Stackpole & others, read and accepted in concurrence.

Resolve in favor of William V. and Oliver Moses came up from the House of Representatives amended. And the question of receding from the vote indefinitely postponing said Resolve & concurring the House in passing the same to be engrossed as amended, being ordered to be taken by yeas and nays, was decided in the negative, as follows, to wit: Yeas.
