Dear Sir:
Mr. Crosby N. Crocker of this town enlisted as teamster in the 2d Maine Regt July 1861 and served until a few weeks since when on account of sickness he was sent home where he arrived on the 31st ult. He now wishes to return to his post and does not know what measures to take in the [?] - has received no pay since the March payment - left "White House Landing" so feeble that he took no papers with him. Will you please inform me by return mail of the proper course for him to pursue in order to get with his Regiment.
