Resolve in favor of Zadoch Bishop and others was read a second time, amended, and passed to be engrossed as amended. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.

Resolve for the benefit of the Maine Wesleyan Seminary, reported by Mr. Pierce from the Committee on Literature and Literary Institutions, on the petition of the Trustees of the Maine Wesleyan Seminary, was read once, and Tuesday next at ten o'clock assigned for a second reading.

On motion of Mr. Pierce, Ordered, that the Senate adjourn this day at eleven o'clock A.M. for the purpose of witnessing the exhibition of some blind pupils, under the instruction of Dr. Howe from the Massachusetts Asylum for the Blind; and accordingly the Senate adjourned.
