The petition of Benjamin Nickerson and others, for permission to build a Bridge over tide waters in Belfast. Read and referred to the joint Standing Committee on Turnpikes Bridges and Canals. Sent down for concurrence.
The petition of Enoch Marshall for allowance of Samuel Sevey, Jailor of Lincoln County for keeping and clothing John Wheeler, an insane person. Read and referred to the Committee on Claims in concurrence.
Order from the House, directing the joint standing committee on the Judiciary to enquire into the expediency of providing by law for returns to the Secretary of State to be made by the State and County Treasurers of such Plantations in this State, as are, or may hereafter be organized. Read and passed in concurrence.
Bill to incorporate the Odons Ledge Fishery Company. Read once, and committed to Messrs Drummond Davee and Williamson.
Resolve for locating a road from No. 3 to Moosehead Lake, came from the House further amended. The Senate recede from their vote whereby they passed said Resolve to be engrossed, adopt the amendments of the House, and pass the same to be engrossed as further amended in concurrence with the House.
