Bill to apportion and assess on the Inhabitants of this State a tax of Fifty thousand dollars, came from the Senate amended for concurrence, and the House passed the Bill to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate.

Bill an additional Act respecting Enginemen, fire Engines and the extinguishment of fires, was read 1st & 2nd time & Monday next at 11 oclock assigned for a 3rd reading.

Bill additional to an act extending the powers of the Justices of the Supreme Judicial Court in certain cases, was read 1st & 2nd time & Monday next at 11 oclock assigned for a 3rd reading.

Resolve in favor of Daniel J Perley was read once and Monday next at 11 oclock assigned for a second reading.

Resolve in favor of the towns, of Saco & Biddeford was read once & refused a second reading & the question was taken by yeas & nays and decided as follows yeas 53. Nays 54 [ See appendix page]
