William Trafton [< bold, underlined] was then declared elected, signified his acceptance, and took and subscribed the oaths required by the Constitution before James L. Child, Esquire, authorized by Dedimus Potestatem, [< bold, underlined] in presence of the Senate.
Ordered, on motion of Mr. Purinton, that a Committee be raised to receive, sort and count the votes for Messenger; and Messrs, Purinton, Barnard and Fish were appointed said Committee; who, having attended the duty assigned them, reported that the whole number of votes given in was 21.
