Mr. Cobb from the Committee on Incorporation of Towns, made a report on petition of the Selectmen of Williamsburgh, read and accepted. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.
Bill to incorporate the town of Barnard, reported by the Committee on Incorporation of Towns, read once and tomorrow at ten o'clock assigned for a second reading.
Mr. Pierce from the Committee on Literature and Literary Institutions, reported lave [leave] to withdraw on petition of Inhabitants of School District No. 2 in the town of Phillips; read and accepted. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.
Bill to incorporate the Hallowell Harmonic Society, read a second time and passed to be engrossed in concurrence.
Mr. Cobb from the Committee on the Incorporation of Towns to whom was referred the petition of Nathan Stanley and others, made a report asking leave to be discharged from any further service on that subject, read and accepted. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.
Report of Committee to whom was referred an "order to enquire into the expediency of revising the laws in our Trustee process, so that they may operate on foreigners coming into the State" &c, recommending that said order be referred to the Committee on the Judiciary, came up from the House referred to a Joint Select Committee, consisting on the part of the House of Messrs.
