Preamble and Resolve, laid upon the table by Mr Prescott, in relation to the alteration of the Counties of Lincoln, Cumberland, Oxford, Kennebec and Somerset, read and on motion of Mr Frye, ordered to lie on the table.
Remonstrance of Benjamin Underwood and others against the Grand Falls Sluiceway Company, read and referred to the Committee on Turnpikes, Bridges & Canals, in concurrence.
Resolve for the benefit of the Maine Wesleyan Seminary came up from the House indefinitely postponed. The Senate nonconcur the House in the indefinite postponement of said Resolve and insist on their vote passing the same to be engrossed. Sent down for concurrence.
The Senate resume the consideration of the Bill to incorporate the Kennebec Dam Company and while the same was under discussion, On motion of Mr Prescott, ordered that when the Senate adjourn, they adjourn to meet again at three o'clock in the afternoon. And the Senate accordingly Adjourned.
Afternoon. Petition of John M. Smith & others for a repeal of the License Laws was read and referred to the Committee on the Judiciary Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.
