   The opinion is that the enemy

are passing around us by both flanks - But Banks is at Manassas. So it is not likely that they have gone that way, at least. I think it is probable that they have gone round our right flanks and we shall hear of them in the vicinity of Washington. Many think they do wrong in keeping us here.

       Rodgers is sick and has

gone to Washington. I am trying to serve for him. Grierson and I are the only ones left with the Gen.
