Order from the House of Representatives instructing the Committee on Turnpikes, Bridges & Canals to inquire into the expediency of so amending the law that in all complaints against towns for neglect to keep in repair roads or bridges, no complaint shall be made or received before any Court or Jury until complainant shall verify by oath of affirmation that he has notified the Selectmen of the town against which, such complaint is made, or some one of them, a sufficient time before making such complaint to make the necessary repairs, of his intention to do so unless said road or bridge be repaired, and that said town has neglected to make such repairs, - read and passed in concurrence
