To day I have been on orderly duty. had to report to Cap. Stacy of the 20th Conn Regt. he was field Officer of the Day. Went with him to all the Regiments in the Brigade and then went around the whole line of Pickets. I got dismissed at 4 oclock and came to Camp.

Came in from Picket this morning at 9 oclock. and was in camp the rest of the day. wrote two letters in the afternoon. one to Center Pidney[?]  and one to Windsor. the weather has been pretty cool this day. one of our men went home this morning on a furlough.

In quarters to day. ave finished building our house to day and moved into it. the weather has been rainy most oll day.

Saturday, 28.

In camp. we were mustered for pay. this morning at 10 oclock. and had an inspection of Arms. This makes four times that I have been mustered for pay and I have not received a cent. 8 months pay is now due me.

In Camp to day. wrote three letters in the forenoon. wrote one home. and one to Madison. one to Waterville. the weather has been very pleasant and warm to day.

out on Picket Guard to day. It has been quite pleasant and warm to day. nothing of any consequince has taken place.
