+ | Boots and Saddles sounded at 3 oclock this morning. we got ready and started at day light. we marched abought 25 miles up the Rappahamese[?] river towards Warrenton. at sun set we went into Camp for the night. the weather has pleasant to day and the roads very good. | ||

+ | We started again this morning before day light. came on the road to Roppahonnock Ford. Our Regt was in the advance to day. we went to the ford and drove the Rebel Pickets from it and took possession of it. Co. H. was the first that went over the river. | ||

Saturday, 11.
