Yes Sir this meeting Recognizes no exclusive privileges It calls upon all the high & the low the Rich & the poor to come & mingle their [illegible word] tears together in Sincerity, in grief & in Sorrow for the loss by a premature death of one of their fellow Statesmen & neighbouring Townsmen, a Sincere Politician, a Republican, connected by blood with the assenters[?] & defenders of American Independence a Man of rare & very high attainments a Bold Patriotic & able defender of his own Rights & the Rights of Mankind. he had in common, with us, the welfare of his own dear native Country at heart & he has fallen a Martyr Sir, to the liberty of Speech
