Ordered That the Committee on the Judiciary be instructed to enquire into the expediency of establishing a Law so to regulate the elections of Representatives that all contested elections of Representatives shall in future be decided in the towns and districts where such Representatives shall be chosen, and that the person producing credentials signed by the Selectmen of towns and assessors of Plantations as the case may be, and attested by their respective town or plantation Clerks shall be conclusive evidence that such Representative is legally chosen, &c person shall be allowed to hold a seat in this House as a Representative unless he produce such credentials. Sent up for concurrence
