the undersigned would present the name of Forrest T. Douglass of Milo as a suitable man for a Lieutenant to fill any vacancy which may occur. Mr Douglass has been in the service since a year ago last May. He has served with credit in the Battles of Bull Run, York Town, Hanover, Court House, and the minor skirmish before Richmond, in all those engagements he won the respect and admiration of his comrades and particularly his commanding Officers by his unflinching courage and bravery.
