General
Lieut Brown informed me that you intimated to him that there would be two or three regiments raised in the state to be filled with drafted men.
Is there anything of the kind on foot? I feel quite anxious to get into the service again and should like to know if I have any chance. Will you inform me of the "situation" and if you can do anything to push me in oblige me by lending your influence
Please say to Mr. Partredge that as soon as I can find the Adgt. I will send him the return he wishes.
