Having a desire to reenter the service of the U.S. in connecton with some of the organizations now forming, I take the liberty to address you, as far as I know, there are no companies being formed in this section of the state although the 2d, 22d & 26th have all returned here, and therefore I would request permission to raise a company referring you to Col.Varney or any of the officers of my old Reg't and hoping an answer at your earliest convenience
