In the County of Somerset The Whole number of votes for Senators were 3610 Necessary to make a choice [ellipsis] 903 John Moor Esq had [ellipsis] 1436 William Kendall Esq [ellipsis] 1143 and they were both chosen.
In the County of Penobscot The whole number of votes for Senator were 1286 Necessary to make a choice [ellipsis] 644 William D Williamson Esq had 679 and he was chosen

That the committee rejected the return from Solon in the County of Somerset , because it states that the Town meeting at which the votes were given, was holden [?] on the 23rd of April; and also the votes from Sidney in the County of Kennebec, because it appears by the return, that the inhabitants of that Town assembled in Town meeting, balloted three several times in giving in their votes for three Senators, and the same names are certified in each ballot; and also from Thompson-Pond Plantation in the County of Cumberland & Palmyra in the County of Somerset because the returns state a number of votes without particular dissemination [?] as thus - For "Lothrop Lewis, Archelaus [?] Lewis, Barrete [?] Potter in the former" , seventeen - in the latter "for John Moor + William Kendall fourteen votes : for Obed Wilson and James Bowen twenty nine cents"; and also from Brookville in the County of Hancock, because the return states the votes to be for Abel W Atherton and Andrew
